Visiting a Scrap Yard

What should you do if you disagree with the weight or grade at a yard?

Short answer: Raise it politely at the time, ask the staff to explain the weight or grade, look at what they are pointing to, ask for the weighbridge ticket and the grading to be written down and, if you still disagree, you can decline the offer and take your scrap elsewhere before it is unloaded, because once the load is mixed with the yard's stock it is very hard to reclaim.
